Pharos Beyond Images Short Film Festival (PBISFF) is an international competitive short film festival founded by filmmakers and dedicated to discovering, supporting, and celebrating independent cinematic voices from around the world. In 2026, PBISFF proudly presents its 6th edition, continuing its commitment to showcasing innovative storytelling, emerging talent, and bold cinematic visions.

The festival takes place in the historic city of Elefsina, Greece, a place of great cultural significance and the former European Capital of Culture, with live screenings hosted at the iconic Cine Eleusis.

PBISFF welcomes filmmakers from every corner of the globe and has previously hosted participants from Greece, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, South Africa, Canada, Italy, Israel, and many other countries. Selected filmmakers have the opportunity to present their work to a live audience, participate in Q&A sessions, and connect with fellow creators, industry professionals, and film enthusiasts through networking events and festival activities.

The festival recognizes excellence across a broad range of categories, including Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Animation Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Student Film, Best LGBTQ+ Film, Best Micro Short Film, Best Experimental Film, Best Music Video, Best First-Time Filmmaker, Best Low Budget / No Budget Film, Best Mobile & Vertical Film, Best AI & Hybrid Cinema Film, and the Audience Award.

Selected projects may receive Official Selection, Quarter-Finalist, Semi-Finalist, Honorable Mention, Category Winner, or Festival Winner distinctions. All selected and awarded films receive official PBISFF laurels and recognition through the festival's international platform.
